Paul Zadro

Shihan Paul Zadro (born 5 March 1963, at Innisfail, in Northern Queensland), is an Australian Martial Arts pioneer.
Zadro first began boxing under Jimmy Sharman in 1972 at Mareeba, North Queensland, and started Judo under the Kodakan Judo Association in 1973 to 1975. He then studied Tae Kwon Do from 1975 to 1979 at Bossley Park in Sydney and obtained the rank of Junior Black Belt. In 1979 he went on to study Ken Sei Kan Karate Do and continued on until 1981 at Greystanes, Sydney where he obtained the rank of Shodan Black Belt. From 1979 to 1983 he studied Koshu Kempo under Tony Lucisano at Bossley Park, Sydney and obtained his rank of Shodan in that art, too. He studies Brazilian jiu-jujitsu with good friend Anthony Perosh. Perosh still states that Paul was his first instructor until he went overseas to pursue Brazilian jiu-jujitsu.
In 1980 he opened the International Kempo Karate Academy in Kemps Creek. Over the years he traveled to different parts of the world Thailand, Belarus and USA learning more. In 1995 he was appointed the NSW President of the International Sport Karate Association ISKA and which is now the current Australasia President today. In 1998 he was inducted into the Eurasian Kickboxing Association Hall of Fame. In 1999 he was inducted into the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame and in the following year inducted into the Karate Union Hall of Fame. Paul is one of the longest-running martial artist teachers in Sydney. His school has been in the same place for over 36 years which makes it the longest running Martial Arts school in the same place in Australia.
He currently runs and owns the IMC (International Martial Arts Centers). The centers run different types of martial arts for everyone.
